This week, Chelsea win on two fronts – they strangle Tottenham into submission to win the Carling Cup, and sit back as the gap at the top opens up after Liverpool summon up the energy to down Man City, 48 hours after their energy sapping loss in Turkey. Van Gaal finally decides to put a round peg in a round hole as round-headed Rooney inspires a Man Utd win, and with Arsenal winning, the top half of the table starts getting familiar. All of this and more, including the usual useless chat, right here.
This week, Liverpool beat Southampton (with a little help from a Friend) and move closer to top 4. Chelsea draw with Burnley in a match filled with penalty shouts and shin clouts, City capitalise with a drubbing in Newcastle and Manchester United’s results finally match their performances as Swansea do the double over the Red Devils. All this and more as we bicker and talk garbage and generally do what we do best.
This week, we return more rubbish than ever after skipping a few weeks. FA Cup action is all the rage as we talk about Liverpool and Arsenal going through while wondering how Man Utd managed it. EPL action from what feels like an age ago gets coverage as we discuss the title race and the ever competitive sack race, and the usual segments return to keep us all happy, except for Ralph who’s still pissed off. Enjoy!
This week, Chelsea stay 5 points clear at the top with a 1-1 draw against Man City, while Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham make their charge for the top 4 with wins. Man Utd buck the trend by playing well, beating Leicester, but stay on trend by going mental with the team selection (Rooney at CDM anyone?). All this, as well as a wrap of Australia’s ascendancy to Champions of Asia. What else do you want, it’s all here.
